WinMaximumize

WinMaximumize is a portable and free application that sits in the system tray and silently does its work. What it does is allow you to quickly maximize a window. Say you have three windows on your desktop. Window 1 in the upper left hand corner, window 2 on the right hand side, and window three someplace in the middle. By pressing a hotkey you can maximize window 3 so it will take up all available space on the screen. Window 3 will take up all the space that is not occupied by window 1 and 2.

As mentioned above, WinMaximumize is a portable application. This means that you will not have to go through an installation process. To get started with the application you need to download an archive, extract its contents, and run the WinMaximumize executable.

Also as mentioned above, WinMaximumize sits in the system tray. Click the system tray icon (it doesn’t matter if you left or right click the icon) and you will be presented with an interface that features two tabs:
Settings – pick the hotkey that you can use to maximize a window; choose what happens if two windows overlap; select if you want WinMaximumize to run at startup.
About – you are invited to make a donation.

The default hotkey is Ctrl + F1. Select a window, hit this hotkey, and WinMaximumize will maximize the window. The selected window will take up all available space on your desktop. This is, in a nutshell, the functionality that is provided to you by WinMaximumize.
